Stripe Billing
Stripe's recurring-billing product for subscriptions and invoicing, with built-in revenue and retention reporting drawn from live payment data.
Stripe Billing is the subscription and invoicing layer of Stripe's payments platform: it creates and manages recurring plans, usage-based charges, proration and invoicing, and includes smart retry logic and a customer portal for self-service plan changes. Because billing and payment processing happen in the same system, its MRR and churn figures are computed directly from live Stripe transaction data rather than an imported export — the same source many third-party SaaS-metrics tools (ChartMogul, Baremetrics, ProfitWell) read from, which is why those tools' numbers can diverge from Stripe's own dashboard if they apply different normalization rules. It is cloud-only and sold as a percentage of billing volume, with discounted flat monthly rates at higher predictable volumes, layered on top of Stripe's standard payment-processing fees.
