ChartMogul pulls billing and payment data from systems like Stripe, Chargebee and Paddle (and via CSV import from others) and normalizes it into a single metrics layer, so a business running more than one billing system can still see one MRR, churn and LTV number instead of several disagreeing dashboards. It applies its own standardized definitions to compute new/expansion/contraction/churned MRR, cohort retention, and customer-level segmentation, then exposes that data through dashboards, a two-way CRM sync, and a data warehouse push. Because the numbers depend on how each source system records subscription events, ChartMogul's normalization rules — not the raw billing export — determine what counts as churn versus a plan change. It is cloud-hosted only, aimed at SaaS finance and revenue teams rather than engineers building custom reporting.
