Fathom is a flood and climate-risk intelligence company, now owned by Swiss Re, that produces high-resolution global flood hazard maps and the Global Flood Cat catastrophe model, which it describes as the first model to cover all major flood perils worldwide. It also sells flood risk scores for individual locations under current conditions and future climate scenarios out to 2100, plus terrain data (FathomDEM+) and post-event flood analysis. Customers span insurance, reinsurance, banking, engineering, corporate and public-sector international-development users. Note: this Fathom (flood risk, founded 2013) is a distinct company from Fathom Analytics, the privacy-focused web analytics product.
