Verisk Extreme Event Solutions
Catastrophe modelling division (formerly AIR Worldwide) providing probabilistic loss models for insurers and reinsurers.
Verisk Extreme Event Solutions is the former AIR Worldwide, one of the two dominant catastrophe modelling franchises in the insurance industry, acquired by Verisk in 2023. Its Touchstone platform runs probabilistic models for hurricane, earthquake, severe convective storm, flood, wildfire, terrorism, pandemic, cyber and casualty-catastrophe risk across more than 110 countries, producing exceedance-probability loss curves used to price and reserve for catastrophe exposure. It is delivered as licensed software or cloud-hosted analytics to insurers, reinsurers, brokers, ILS managers and governments. Its closest rivals are Moody's RMS and Karen Clark & Company, whose founder also founded AIR.
