The Numbers

A free public database of movie box-office grosses, production budgets and release data, run independently since 1997.

The Numbers is a free, publicly accessible film-industry data site, not a software product: it publishes per-movie financials (production budget, domestic and international gross, opening weekend, theater counts), daily/weekly/monthly and yearly box-office charts, and franchise and studio-level rollups. It has stayed free since launching in 1997, in contrast to Box Office Mojo, which moved much of its detail behind IMDbPro's paywall. Analysts, journalists and researchers use it as a quick, no-signup source for box-office and budget figures; it does not offer streaming, social or sponsorship data, and its budget figures are estimates compiled by the site's researchers rather than studio-confirmed numbers.
