Google Search Console
Google's free first-party tool showing how a site actually appears and performs in Google Search.
Google Search Console is Google's free webmaster tool for monitoring a verified site's presence in Google Search: it reports the actual search queries, click-through rates, average position, and indexing status Google has recorded for that property, plus any manual action or security issues found. It is the only source of first-party query-level data for a site's own Google traffic, since Google does not expose this data to third-party SEO crawlers. It also includes tools for submitting sitemaps, testing structured data for rich results, reviewing Core Web Vitals field data, and requesting re-indexing of updated pages. It reports on Google Search only, not Bing or AI assistants, and requires no self-hosted setup beyond domain or URL-prefix verification.
