Supplier sustainability rating platform scoring companies on environment, labor, ethics and procurement practices.
EcoVadis assesses companies across four themes -- environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement -- through a questionnaire plus supporting evidence, producing a 0-100 score and Bronze-to-Platinum medal. Assessments are usually initiated by a business customer requesting a supplier's rating, and results can be shared network-wide so a supplier is not re-assessed separately by every buyer. EcoVadis also benchmarks scores against industry and country peer groups and offers a carbon rating add-on. This buyer-driven, supply-chain-screening model differs from CDP (climate-only, non-profit disclosure) and from MSCI/Sustainalytics (investor-facing, analyst-driven), making EcoVadis the standard reference for procurement and vendor-risk teams.
