Statcounter

Freemium site-analytics tracker, plus the widely cited public browser/OS market-share statistics service at gs.statcounter.com.

StatCounter is actually two distinct offerings from the same company. The first, at statcounter.com, is a freemium site-analytics tracker businesses install on their own websites, providing real-time traffic reports, session replay, heatmaps, live visitor feeds, individual visitor path tracking, and conversion/campaign tracking, positioned as an easy-to-use alternative to more complex tools like GA4. The second, at gs.statcounter.com (Statcounter Global Stats), is a separate, publicly published statistics service reporting global and regional market share for browsers, operating systems, search engines, and devices, aggregated from anonymized third-party traffic across StatCounter's member-site network rather than opt-in panels or toolbars; it is one of the most frequently cited sources for browser and OS usage figures across the web and is free and public, with no login required. Prospective users of the analytics product should not confuse it with the free public stats site.
