Nielsen
Global audience measurement currency for TV, streaming, digital, and audio used by advertisers and media companies.
Nielsen is a global audience measurement company rather than a self-serve analytics product. Through its Nielsen ONE platform it provides a cross-platform view of audiences across TV, streaming, digital, and audio, combining data from panels of more than 750,000 participants worldwide with big-data sources to produce a measurement 'currency' that advertisers and media owners use for planning, buying, and evaluating campaigns. Tools such as 'The Gauge' report streaming's share of total TV viewing, and Gracenote (also part of Nielsen) supplies content metadata used across the media industry. As with other measurement currencies, access and pricing are arranged through direct commercial relationships rather than a public price list.
