Litmus (now part of Validity) is a pre-send email quality-assurance tool: it renders a campaign across 100+ email clients and devices, runs accessibility, spam and link/image checks, and flags rendering or code problems before a send goes out. It sits upstream of sending platforms like Klaviyo or Braze rather than competing with them — it doesn't send campaigns, track opens/clicks, or attribute revenue, so it has no concept of cohort reporting or holdout testing. Teams pair it with their ESP so that lifecycle and marketing analytics remain in the sending platform while Litmus catches broken layouts, dark-mode issues and deliverability-blocking code before launch. Litmus does not publish pricing; the vendor's page routes every visitor to a sales conversation.
