Labor market data platform combining job postings, resumes and government statistics for workforce and skills analysis.
Lightcast aggregates labor market data, job postings scraped from employer and job-board sites, aggregated professional-profile data, and official government labor statistics, into datasets and tools covering roughly 165 countries. It sells this data three ways: raw data delivery via API, interactive software (an Analyst Platform, plus specialized tools such as Labour Insight for regional workforce analysis and Career Coach for education/career guidance), and consulting services for workforce strategy. Lightcast was formed by the 2021 merger of Emsi and Burning Glass Technologies, two long-standing labor-market-data firms, and took the Lightcast name in 2022; Burning Glass no longer exists as a separate product. Customers fall into three groups: education institutions aligning programs to labor demand, employers doing skills and talent-market analysis, and public-sector workforce and economic-development agencies.
