Instructure builds analytics directly into its Canvas learning management system rather than selling a separate analytics product: in-app reporting gives instructors real-time course activity, progress and engagement data without leaving Canvas, while Canvas Data provides raw, event-level data exports for institutions that want to build their own dashboards or feed a data warehouse. Intelligent Insights adds broader institutional analytics, and LearnPlatform (also part of Instructure) helps institutions evaluate the effectiveness of the edtech tools they use alongside Canvas. Its scope is closest to Anthology's Blackboard-based analytics: both are LMS-native, activity-data-driven products, distinct from cross-system predictive platforms like Civitas Learning or EAB Navigate that also pull in SIS and advising data.
