Anthology formed when Blackboard merged with Anthology Inc. in 2021, and the combined company now sells the Blackboard Learn LMS alongside analytics products under the Anthology name, including Illuminate for institutional analytics and reporting, and accessibility and assessment tools (Ally, Evaluate). Analytics here center on course-level engagement, at-risk student identification within the LMS, and institution-wide outcomes and accreditation reporting, drawing on the learning-activity data the LMS itself generates. This differs from Civitas Learning or EAB Navigate, which pull data from multiple campus systems for broader predictive modeling; Anthology's analytics strength is closest to the learning-activity data inside its own LMS, similar in scope to Instructure's Canvas analytics products.
