Databricks Marketplace is a distribution channel built into the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, not a standalone product: listings are shared through the open Delta Sharing protocol, so data lands directly in a customer's own workspace without ETL, and — because Delta Sharing is an open standard — recipients do not need to be Databricks customers themselves for many listings. Providers publish datasets, pre-built notebooks, ML models and applications; pricing, refresh cadence and licensing for each listing are set by its provider, not by Databricks. It suits teams already using the Databricks Lakehouse who want to attach external data or models without a separate ingestion pipeline; evaluating any given listing's quality remains the buyer's responsibility.
