The Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem is the European Union's free access point for data from its Sentinel satellite fleet, covering optical imagery (Sentinel-2, down to 10m resolution), radar (Sentinel-1), ocean and land monitoring (Sentinel-3) and atmospheric composition (Sentinel-5P). Revisit frequency ranges from about 5 days for Sentinel-2 over a given location to daily global coverage for atmospheric products, with the full archive extending back to each mission's launch (Sentinel-1 and -2 from the mid-2010s). Access includes a browser-based data viewer, bulk downloads, OGC-compliant APIs, and on-demand cloud processing so users can run analyses near the data instead of downloading everything. Registration is free and open to any user worldwide, funded by the EU as public infrastructure.
