Dynata vs YouGov
Both run proprietary panels and compete on scale and self-serve access. YouGov adds a public political-polling brand Dynata doesn't have.

Verdict
Dynata and YouGov are the two market-leading proprietary-panel providers in this category — both recruit and maintain their own respondents rather than aggregating third-party supply, which is what sets them apart from Cint. The difference between them is less about panel mechanics and more about business shape. Dynata pairs a programmatic self-serve API with a full managed-research arm that runs studies end to end, including brand tracking and ad-effectiveness work. YouGov does commercial panel research too, but carries a public-facing political and social polling brand that drives visibility well beyond its commercial business, plus syndicated products like YouGov Profiles and Omnibus that Dynata doesn't offer in the same form.
Choose Dynata if
- You want a straightforward choice between self-serve programmatic sample buying and a managed full-service study, without a political-polling brand attached.
- Built-in fraud and quality screening before respondents enter a study is a priority.
- You're integrating panel access into your own survey tooling via API rather than working through YouGov's syndicated products.
Choose YouGov if
- You want access to YouGov Profiles for building audience segments from aggregated panel data without fielding a new survey.
- Fast turnaround on a smaller study matters, and YouGov's omnibus product (shared questionnaire, multiple clients) fits.
- Public political and social opinion tracking is part of what you need, and you want it from the vendor that also runs Civiqs.
The honest caveat
Neither publishes pricing — both sell by project quote or subscription — so a real comparison requires quotes for your specific study design and target sample. If political-opinion tracking specifically, rather than general commercial research, is the job, look at Civiqs directly rather than YouGov's broader panel business.
