Charting & technical analysis · Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.
thinkorswim
Schwab's professional-grade trading and charting platform, free to use with a funded Schwab brokerage account.
thinkorswim is Charles Schwab's active-trader platform, offering advanced charting with a large technical-study library, options analytics (probability curves, risk profiles), a strategy backtester (thinkBack), and paper trading (paperMoney). It ships as desktop, web and mobile clients built around live order entry, so charting and analysis sit directly alongside execution rather than as a standalone research tool. Access requires opening and funding a Schwab brokerage account; there is no separate subscription fee, and no standalone data-only tier for non-clients. Schwab absorbed the platform after acquiring TD Ameritrade and has continued consolidating thinkorswim's desktop, web and mobile clients under the Schwab brand.
