StreetLight Data builds origin-destination and travel-behavior metrics, vehicle, bike and pedestrian volumes, trip purpose, route choice, from anonymized mobile location and connected-vehicle data, rather than the road-sensor and incident feeds INRIX specializes in. Its self-serve software (StreetLight InSight) lets transportation planners, consultants and researchers pull travel metrics for a study area without commissioning a traditional travel survey; a bulk data/API option and custom data-science services serve larger programs. Government transportation planning is its core market, alongside private-sector site selection, EV-charging deployment planning and logistics. Compared with Replica, which builds full synthetic-population travel-demand models, StreetLight is more of a direct-measurement tool for specific travel metrics rather than a simulated population.
