Sight Machine connects to machines, sensors, MES and historian data on a factory floor and normalizes it into a standardized manufacturing data model, so that production, quality and downtime metrics can be compared consistently across lines, plants and even different equipment vendors. On top of that model it provides analytics for overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), quality root-cause analysis, and production-line performance benchmarking, aimed at manufacturing and continuous-improvement teams rather than IT. Its emphasis on a common data model across heterogeneous plant equipment is the main way it differentiates from point dashboards built by machine vendors themselves, which typically only cover one line or one type of equipment. It is delivered as a cloud analytics platform with on-site data connectors, sold to discrete and process manufacturers on enterprise contracts.
