Omeka

Open-source web publishing platform for digital collections and exhibits, free to self-host or available as a paid hosted service.

Omeka is a web publishing system purpose-built for cultural heritage and digital humanities collections, letting institutions and researchers catalog items with Dublin Core metadata, build public online exhibits, and manage multi-site collections. It exists as two open-source, free-to-self-host versions, Omeka Classic (single-site) and Omeka S (multi-site, linked-data-oriented), maintained by the nonprofit Corporation for Digital Scholarship, plus Omeka.net, a paid hosted service for users who don't want to run their own server. Plugin and theme ecosystems extend both versions for exhibits, mapping, and collection import/export. It is widely used by museums, libraries, archives and academic digital-humanities projects as a lighter-weight alternative to full digital-asset-management systems.
