Cityworks is GIS-centric asset management and work-order software used by public works, utilities, and parks departments to track infrastructure assets, schedule maintenance, and manage permitting and inspections directly on top of an Esri ArcGIS map rather than a separate asset database. Trimble, which owns Cityworks, is sunsetting the on-premises version and consolidating it with its AgileAssets, Pavement Express, and Unity Work Management products into a single cloud SaaS platform called Trimble Unity Maintain, which Trimble describes as the same underlying ecosystem with a modernized, cloud-managed architecture and updated API structure. Agencies still running on-premises Cityworks should expect a migration path to Unity Maintain rather than continued on-prem development. Both generations require an Esri ArcGIS license alongside the asset-management product itself, and pricing is not published on Trimble's site; access is arranged through a sales inquiry.
