Chronosphere is a metrics- and log-focused observability platform built on open-source foundations (originally M3, now largely Prometheus-compatible plus its own storage) and positioned for organizations whose Datadog- or Prometheus-based bills have grown unmanageable. Its differentiator is control-plane tooling that lets teams see which teams and services are driving cardinality and cost before data is stored, rather than after the invoice arrives. It is delivered as a managed SaaS (with a bring-your-own-cloud option for regulated customers) and targets platform teams running Kubernetes at scale rather than smaller shops. Public self-serve pricing is not published; deals are quoted based on ingested volume and cardinality.
