Workday Adaptive Planning (formerly Adaptive Insights) is a cloud planning platform for building integrated financial, workforce, and operational plans. It supports budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling with an Excel-like interface aimed at finance users who do not want to write code. Workforce planning modules connect headcount and compensation modeling to the rest of the plan, and operational planning modules extend forecasting to sales, revenue, and other business drivers. Since Workday's acquisition of Adaptive Insights, the product is sold both standalone and as part of the broader Workday HCM/Financials suite, with AI features added for anomaly detection and scenario generation. It is offered only as a hosted SaaS product, aimed at organizations from mid-market to large enterprise, with pricing quoted per deployment rather than published.
