Ontotext GraphDB is an RDF triple store built on the RDF4J framework, queried with SPARQL and capable of OWL and RDFS reasoning to infer implicit relationships from an ontology rather than only storing facts that were explicitly loaded. It targets enterprise knowledge-graph and semantic-search use cases such as content and data cataloging, life-sciences ontologies, and connecting siloed data under a shared vocabulary. GraphDB Free is free to use but limited to a single parallel query at a time; GraphDB Enterprise removes that limit and adds connectors to Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Solr and Kafka for combining full-text and semantic search, plus clustering for resilience and scale. It is self-hosted by default, with cloud deployment available through partners and marketplaces rather than a first-party managed service.
