Moody's Analytics
Credit risk, economic forecasting and regulatory-compliance analytics that banks use for underwriting, loss forecasting and stress testing.
Moody's Analytics supplies the credit-risk models, macroeconomic scenario data and reporting tools that bank risk and finance teams use to underwrite loans, forecast losses and satisfy regulators. Its models cover probability of default, loss given default and exposure at default for commercial, retail and CRE portfolios (RiskCalc, CreditLens), while its economics arm publishes the scenario forecasts many banks use for CECL, IFRS 9 and stress-testing exercises such as CCAR. Delivery ranges from hosted analytics to on-premises model deployment integrated with a bank's own loan systems. Where FICO Platform focuses on real-time transactional decisioning, Moody's Analytics is oriented toward portfolio-level risk measurement, capital planning and the macroeconomic data behind it, drawing on its parent's ratings and credit-research heritage.
