LibreNMS auto-discovers network devices via SNMP, LLDP/CDP and other protocols, then graphs interface traffic, CPU, memory and environmental sensors with alerting and a REST API. It is general device monitoring in the same space as Nagios, Zabbix and SolarWinds, but unlike Nagios and Zabbix it has no official vendor-sold commercial edition — the project is community-governed (a fork of Observium) and stays free and unlimited. Paid support and consultancy are available only through independent partners the project lists, not from LibreNMS itself, and there is no hosted SaaS offering. It is typically self-hosted via Docker, a Debian/Ubuntu package, or manual install.
