Featureform is a 'virtual' feature store: rather than requiring teams to migrate data into a new system, it orchestrates feature definitions, transformations, and serving on top of infrastructure they already run (Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Postgres, and others), adding versioning, lineage, and access control on top. Redis acquired Featureform in October 2025 and has since integrated it into the Redis platform as Redis Feature Form, a managed feature store that uses Redis as the low-latency online store while orchestrating offline pipelines against a customer's existing warehouse or lakehouse. It handles the full feature lifecycle — definition as code, pipeline orchestration, versioning, and sub-millisecond serving — with added enterprise controls like role-based access control and multi-tenant workspaces. Teams evaluating it today are effectively evaluating a Redis-integrated product, not a fully independent open-source project as it was before the acquisition.
