Deepnote is a cloud-hosted, Jupyter-compatible notebook environment designed around team collaboration rather than solo use. Multiple people can edit the same notebook simultaneously with Google-Docs-style presence and comments, and workspaces share reusable data connections, environment variables, and scheduled/background notebook runs instead of each person configuring their own kernel. It bundles an AI assistant (code generation, editing, and explanation) directly into the notebook, and supports SQL blocks alongside Python cells. Deepnote runs only in its own cloud — there is no self-hosted option — and machines range from small shared CPUs on the free plan to larger dedicated compute on paid plans.
