ClickHouse Cloud is the managed database-as-a-service built and operated by ClickHouse, Inc. on top of the open-source ClickHouse engine. It removes the operational work of running ClickHouse yourself: it provisions clusters, scales compute up and down automatically, separates storage on object storage from stateless compute, and handles backups, upgrades and high availability. It runs on AWS, GCP and Azure and is priced by compute-unit hours and storage rather than a flat license fee, which distinguishes it from self-hosted ClickHouse where infrastructure and operations are the user's own cost. Higher tiers add multi-availability-zone resilience, dedicated support response times, HIPAA/PCI compliance, customer-managed encryption keys and SAML SSO. Teams that already run ClickHouse and want to stop managing servers, or that need it available quickly without infrastructure work, are the primary audience.
