Budibase is an open-source app builder for internal tools, forms and automations that connect to relational and NoSQL databases, REST APIs and existing SaaS tools — a UI and automation layer on top of a data source, not an analytics product. The self-hosted Open Source edition is free with unlimited actions, apps and users; the core platform is GPL-3.0 licensed, while the client/component libraries are MPL-licensed so apps built with Budibase are not themselves bound by GPL. Budibase's own paid features (cloud hosting tiers and enterprise add-ons such as enforced SSO, environment variables and audit logs) run under a separate Business Source License. Cloud plans price on a mix of monthly actions, AI credits and creator seats, with an end-user add-on fee for apps embedded for people outside the building team.
