Verdict

Embeddable and Knowi both target SaaS product teams adding analytics to a multi-tenant application, but they solve a different upstream problem. Embeddable assumes you want version-controlled, code-first control: metrics and row-level, multi-tenant security are defined once on a Cube-based semantic layer and reused across every customer's dashboard, and charts embed as native web components — a single custom HTML tag — rather than an iframe. Knowi assumes the opposite starting point: its federated-query engine joins data across SQL, NoSQL, APIs, and document sources at query time, so a vendor can embed white-labeled dashboards directly on existing operational databases without building a warehouse or ETL pipeline first.

If your data already lives in a clean, modeled warehouse, Embeddable's governed-layer approach pays off. If your data is scattered across several operational systems and building a warehouse first would delay the project by months, Knowi's federated approach gets you to an embedded dashboard sooner.

Choose Embeddable if

  • You want metrics and security defined once, in code, under version control, rather than configured per dashboard.
